Slovenia - The Hidden Jewel of Europe

Summit Management Staff have had the pleasure of visiting Slovenia recently and can attest to its desirability as a great destination for meetings and incentives. While technically a "second tier" European city, the services and scenery are all top class.

Among the 4 and 5 star hotels we've experienced are:

Grand Hotel Union

Grand Hotel Union Business

Hotel Lev

Central Hotel

Kempinski Palace Portoroz

Kempinski Hotel Adriatic

InterContinental Ljubjana

Slovenia is certainly more than just a nice advert, closer to a novel with an impressive plot. The destination is a great opportunity for MICE industry and is distinguished by its closeness to the major European hubs. It’s the single country whose name contains the magic word love. Indeed, love is found in many of its nooks and crannies, uniting diverse landscapes in a tiny place. The country’s natural environment is absolutely phenomenal, while richness of landscape is one of its radiant competitive advantages. As a Slovene folk story goes, the creator forgot about this little piece of the world at first, and so in the very last moment, he crafted it from parts of all the others. Indeed, a unique feature of Slovenia are its four cultures and landscapes – the Alps, the Pannonian plains, the Karst and the Mediterranean; shaped by the historical influences of four peoples, the Slavic, Romance, Germanic, and Finno-Ugric.

Slovenia has been quietly developing into a boutique MICE destination, catering to a diverse variety of business meetings, events and incentives with its reserved yet warm invitation to exploration. Much to our delight, Slovenia's reputation has been steadily growing across the tourism world and the MICE industry.

Recent time has been extremely successful for Slovenia in the field of content exposure, as the most influential media such as Vogue, the Wall Street Journal, Condé Nast Traveller. Lonely planet etc.; have all written about our green, active and healthy land.
