My work anniversary…..

A word about my work anniversary…It’s not really work when you love what you do—and, just as importantly, the people you get to do it with.

My career has been a wonderful journey, packed with friendships, incredible places, and experiences I never could have imagined.

Thirty-seven years running my own business came after 10 years of learning the travel business at Travel America, and then being mentored while helping run the group travel company Group America with my beautiful friend, Shola Lewis.

To put into perspective how long ago that was, one of our clients was E.R. Squibb amp; Sons—before it became Bristol Myers Squibb! And actually, my start in travel goes back even further.

While still in high school, I spent four years organizing and running ski trips. I guess travel was in my blood from the beginning.  Looking back, I wouldn’t change a thing. I feel incredibly fortunate to have spent my life doing something I truly enjoy, surrounded by wonderful people and seeing so much of the world along the way. Even after all these years, I still love what I’m doing. Retirement? Maybe someday. But how do you retire when what you do comes naturally, you still enjoy it, and it never really felt like work in the first place?

And as always, if you ever need anything—travel, work, family, or personal—LMK. We’re always glad to help.
